1. Create an API key in Agentova

1

Open Paramètres → API in Agentova

The Agentova app is in French. Click your workspace name at the top of the sidebar, then Paramètres (Settings), and pick API in the ESPACE DE TRAVAIL section. You need to be an admin of the workspace: other members can open the page, but can’t create or revoke keys.

2

Create a key and copy it right away

Click Créer une clé (Create a key), give it a name that says where it’s used, for example “Zapier — marketing team”, and confirm with Créer la clé. The key looks like agk_live_… and is shown only once: copy it, then close the window with J’ai copié ma clé (I’ve copied my key).

The key is shown once: copy it with the button on the right (masked here)

3

Keep it secret

One key gives access to the whole workspace: listing its automations, pausing and reactivating them, reading its leads and runs, managing its webhook subscriptions. Every admin of the workspace is notified when a key is created. You can have up to 10 active keys; revoke the ones you no longer use.
A revoked key stops working immediately, everywhere it’s used. By default, the webhook subscriptions created with it are deleted with it, so the triggers that rely on them stop receiving events — see Security.

2. Create the credential in n8n

1

Credentials → Add credential → Agentova API

2

Fill in the two fields

3

Save

n8n tests the key right away. Connection tested successfully means you’re ready.

One key = one workspace. For several workspaces, create one credential per workspace and pick the right one in each node.

If the test fails

When you revoke a key

The Agentova node stops at once in every workflow that uses the credential: each operation fails with “Invalid or revoked Agentova API key” until you update the credential with a new key. An active Agentova Trigger depends on the box ticked by default in the Révoquer cette clé ? window, which deletes the webhook subscriptions created with the key:
  • Box ticked (the default): the trigger’s subscription is deleted with the key, and the trigger stops receiving events. Update the credential with a new key, then deactivate and activate the workflow: the trigger registers again.
  • Box unticked: the trigger keeps receiving events. To stop it, update the credential with a new key, then deactivate the workflow — or delete its subscription in the Abonnements webhook table of Paramètres → API (Settings → API).
See Revoking a key.
